This is the mews that ran down the side of our hotel and gave access to the streets beyond. Interesting bit of grafitti. That faded sign on the wall (dated early 1800's) says: "The Local Board of Health for the City of Bath hereby give
notice that any PERSON or PERSONS depositing RUBBISH or commiting
any NUISANCE on this ROAD or ARCHWAY will be PROSECUTED by order
of the above board |
